Last week, alongside the arrival of the first Windows 11 Preview Build, Microsoft reported a significant visual update for Office applications on Windows. This update will be accessible to Office Insiders running Beta Channel constructs 14301.20004 or later on Windows 11 or Windows 10.

The visual new UI is rolling out in stages and is at present accessible to Beta Channel clients running Version 2108 Build 14301.20004 or later on Windows 11 or Windows 10.

The main changes are a rounded look to the Office lace bar, with unobtrusive changes to a button through Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Microsoft had initially prodded more emotional changes to its Office UI, which included advancing toward even more a command bar rather than the customary ribbon interface.
